Simple card games are the best: they are easy to learn, hard to master and offer tons of fun. Blackjack offers all of these and more; this is why it is one of the most popular card games in casinos. Even an amateur can win millions of dollars in it, and watching the gameplay of professionals is a very exciting experience.

Did you know that American Blackjack Turbo is the only gamble in casinos that offers a %100 winning chance? When played right and in theory, it is possible to win every time, the house edge is non-existent.

You can test this theory by playing American Blackjack Turbo, which is developed by SkillOnNet. It offers the pure experience: no side bets, no progressive jackpots – only the joy of scoring 21 and beating the casino. For this reason, it is one of the most suitable blackjacks for beginners: you can learn the basics of the game easily and still win satisfying prizes.

The name “Turbo” comes from the high gameplay speed: each round lasts mere seconds, and you can play several hands at once. Other than that, the gamble uses the classic rules and doesn’t contain any “surprises.” It is available for free, so you can play as long as you want without spending a dime. No download and no registration are needed – just a device with an internet connection.

Mobile devices are supported too, although the controls are not touch-optimized. You can switch to the real money version anytime you want and continue playing at a reputable online casino by clicking the “play now” button.

American Blackjack Turbo Classic Rules

The gamble is based on points, which requires comparing of hands between the player and the dealer. Simply put, the side with the highest point wins. The goal is to reach a total of 21, without exceeding this number. If one side exceeds this total, he is considered as “busted” and loses the round. Each card has a different value:

  • Face cards (kings, queens, jacks): 10 points
  • Ace: 1 or 11
  • All other: Face value

Jokers are not used here. To prevent card counting, up to 8 decks of 52 cards are being used. The gamble requires at least two players (one being the dealer), but it is possible to play up to 5 players at once. The dealer always represents the casino, and unlike you, he is bound by rules. Let’s take a closer look at these rules.

To be able to play, you need to place a bet first. This is called the entry wager and can change according to the casino/VIP table you are playing at. In some cases, the entry wager can be as high as hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Or, it may be a lousy 1.00 coin just like in American Blackjack Turbo casino game. After placing a bet, the dealer deals 2 cards to you and himself. He puts the “hole card” face up. These first two are important because they will tell you what to do next.

As we mentioned above, the goal is to reach a total of 21 or a total higher than the dealer. If you already got 19 or above with the first two cards, the odds are in your favor – there is no need to ask for more.

But if you have a total of 16 or lower, asking for a one more will be the best strategy. Analyzing your hand, calculating your odds and knowing when to ask for more cards are the most important aspects of this gamble. After the initial dealing, you must choose between 6 options:

  • Hit: Choose this if you want one more card. You can hit as many times as you want, as long as you don’t exceed 21.
  • Stand: You already have a good hand and need no more. Note that the dealer will continue to play and try to beat your total even if you choose this option.
  • Double: Double the entry bet, if you are confident of your hand. After the double, no more cards are dealt, the round ends and the hands get compared. Doubling may have been subject to a specific condition, i.e. getting 10s as for the first two cards.
  • Split: This is only possible if your first 2 cards have the same value (i.e. two 9s). You can split your cards into two hands and play them separately.
  • Surrender: Lose the half of the entry bet, but still get back the other half.
  •  Insurance: This is often called as the “fool’s bet.” If you think that the dealer has a BJ in American Blackjack Turbo (21 points) in his hand, you can choose to bet in this probability. You are, in other words, betting against yourself. Insurance bet has a separate payout but since the possibility of getting a blackjack is very low, using this option is never recommended. Instead of insurance, use the surrender option.
  • The dealer has only two options: hit or stand. He can’t double, split, surrender or take insurance.  The dealer is also forced to stand when he reaches 17 points. You are not bound by this rule and can use the “hit” option even if you have 17 points or more.

American Blackjack Turbo Casino Game Facts

  • The original name was “Vingt-et-Un,” which means 21 in French. American casinos decided that this was a stupid name and started to call the game blackjack – a reference to the best hand in the game (ace and a face card of any suit).
  • The tables have discard trays to store the decks. These are always red in color. This is because of a security issue: even if you manage to mark the cards with ink, you can’t see these marks behind a red colored glass.
  • All cards contain special marks for security issues. These marks cannot be seen with naked eye. Only the casino personnel wearing special glasses can see them.
  • If you are a member of the Blackjack Hall of Fame, you can stay, eat and drink for free in almost all casinos. You just need to promise never playing blackjack in that casino. Being a member means that you mastered the art of counting and win almost every game you play. For understandable reasons, there are not many members of this exclusive club.
  • Card counting is legal, and casinos can’t do a thing against it. However, they are free to ask you to leave the casino anytime they want. Your name will also be added to a “black book,” and you will be blocked from entering other casinos.
  • 16 is the worst hand possible. If you have this total, there is almost no difference between hitting or standing; the odds are nearly the same.
  • In 1980’s, a group of MIT students developed a new counting technique. Lead by their professor Bill Kaplan, they won more than 400 million dollars in a couple of years. They are still known as the “MIT Blackjack Team,” and they are banned from entering a casino throughout their lifetime.

Strategies: Increasing Your Odds

You can increase your winning odds by following some simple strategies. The most basic one is to stand when you reach a sum of 17 points. Dealers stand at this total for a reason: mathematical analyses show that exceeding 21 points is a high possibility if you have 17 or more. There are also some advanced strategies, for example:

  • Always hit if you have a sum of 11 or less.
  • In between 12-16 points, look at the face-up card of the dealer. If it is 7 or more, keep hitting. If it is 6 or less, stand.
  • Always stand if you have a total of 17 or more.
  • Use the doubling option only if you have between 16 and 18 points.
  • Always split 8s and Aces.
  •  Never split 4s, 5s, and 10s.
  •  If the dealer has a total of 7 or more, do not use the split option for all other hands.

By following these simple tactics, you can actively increase your winning odds. There is one more “proven” strategy: as we mentioned in the beginning, you can win any American Blackjack Turbo game by card counting, predicting the next card and adjusting your strategy accordingly. However, this is almost impossible due to the high number of decks used. To count successfully, you need to be a mathematical genius.
