21 Duel Blackjack

Play Real

This multi-hand game allows you to play up to 3 hands at once. The aim of the game is to get the hand closest to 21 without a bust in order to win. Standard blackjack values are used; Ace has a value of 11 or 1, cards 2 to 10 are valued at their face value and face cards are valued for 10 points.
21 duel blackjack is a more interesting variant of the original game in that it blends the regular one with the Texas Hold’em. This makes the game a fast-paced and enticing one where the house edge is about 3%.

There is also the ante bet which must be placed.

Game Structure of 21 Duel Blackjack

The game is played with 6 standard decks of cards with 2 additional cards dealt in the original hand. These cards are the community cards dealt in the middle, face up, and are available to both the player and the dealer and can be used to strengthen their hands.

All hands that create a total of 21 are valued equally. This could be an Ace and a 10-point card or a hand of 3 cards like a 6, 7 and an 8.

  • The player is dealt a double of cards; one face up and the other face down.
  • The dealer is dealt a double of hands both face down.
  • You can pick one of the two community cards to use with your face up card.
  • With the total value of your community card and face up card shown, you can choose to hit or stand. If your value goes over 21, you lose.
  • The dealer also picks one community card while revealing one of his face down cards.
  • If the dealer’s cards are of a higher value than yours and more than 12, you lose. If your value is higher than that of the dealer, you win on a 1:1 odd.
  • If the dealer’s hand is less than 13, you win on your ante bet at 1:1 odd and any additional bet is pushed.
  • The dealer can draw up to 16 and stand on 17 and can only hit once.

2 Up Sidebet

This is an optional bet which allows the player to add a wager to the result of the 3 cards; the two community cards and the one face up card dealt. If these 3 cards have a pair that matches or even 3 of a kind the bet will pay 3 to 1 for the first scenario and 20 to 1 for the second.
The house edge increases to 6.53% when the player uses this option.

Why You Should Not Fold

The player can choose to fold. In this case, however, this will end the round and lead to the loss of the ante bet. The 2 Up side bet however will still earn its winnings.
