American Blackjack

This variant of the casino Blackjack game is played with 8 standard decks each with 52 cards. The aim of the game is for the player to score more than the dealer without exceeding 21 points or winning when the dealer’s hand goes to a bust. If at any point the dealer and the player have the Blackjack, the player wins. The dealer, however, does win all other ties.

The blackjack value is an Ace and a 10-point card. The decks are always shuffled before each game.

Rules Of The Game

In Double Exposure Blackjack, the dealer’s cards are dealt face up. This means the hand you are playing against has been revealed. You are only allowed to play one hand at a time. The blackjack pays even cash.
Use these buttons to play the game:

  • Hit to take a card
  • Deal to deal a card
  • Split to split the cards
  • Double to double up the stakes

Double is allowed on any 2-card hand that is not a blackjack hand. This gives the player a chance to double their winnings and can be done at fixed points of 9,10 or 11.

Double is allowed after a split too to maximize winnings.

Splitting The Cards

The Ace can be split repeatedly and the value of a new card added to the split Ace. Splitting can be done up to 3 times till the player creates 4 hands. However, split aces hit with a 10 do not make a blackjack, they just make a value of 21.

You can split 10-point value cards even if they are of different ranks. Splitting can help lead to maximized returns.

There is no Insurance nor surrender feature in this game since the player already knows what the dealer’s cards look like and can tell immediately if the dealer has a blackjack.

Payouts In The Game

Payouts in Double Exposure Blackjack Gold have been reduced from 3 to 2 to 1:1. The Return to Player Rate is expected to be at 99.31%.

House Edge In Double Blackjack Exposure

The house edge in this game is greater than that of the standard blackjack game. If a player knows how to play to their advantage, they can play this game for profit.

Winning Tricks and Tips

Avoid splitting the aces when the dealer has a value of 11. Choose to hit instead.

Also, do not Double Down if you have a hand of 11 and the dealer has a 4-9 or 12-15 hand.
